Eshwarappa to Make Decision After Today’s Meeting
Shivamogga: The entire state is all set to witness a high-voltage meeting convened by former minister KS Eshwarappa this evening. The BJP veteran will make a decision on whether to contest the Lok Sabha election from Shivamogga or Haveri.
Eshwarappa is upset following the BJP’s refusal to give a ticket to his son KE Kantesh to contest the upcoming election from the Haveri-Gadag seat. The BJP veteran is lashing out at former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and his son, State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra, and Shivamogga MP B.Y. Raghavendra for his son missing out on the crucial ticket.
He is openly criticizing BS Yediyurappa, claiming that he betrayed him. He said Yediyurappa had promised him that his son would get a ticket to contest the election from the Haveri-Gadag seat by pursuing the BJP high command, but he failed to secure the ticket for his son.
The disgruntled leader has stated that a decision on whether to contest the Lok Sabha election as an independent candidate, either by himself or his son, will be made in that meeting. He emphasized that whatever decision is reached in the meeting will be announced immediately.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at Banjara Hall in Shivamogga at 5 pm today.
